Wyld Roots – One2One Sessions

One-to-One SOMA Breath Sessions with Wyldroots

Wyldroots offers one-to-one SOMA Breath sessions as a place to slow down, soften and return to yourself. These sessions are an invitation to step out of overwhelm and into a more regulated, connected and spacious state—using the breath as a powerful bridge between body, mind and inner knowing.

SOMA Breath weaves together rhythmic breathing, music, guided awareness, gentle movement and breath holds. This combination supports the nervous system to move out of stress and survival mode and into a state of balance, clarity and restoration. Many people experience a deep sense of calm, emotional release, renewed energy and a feeling of being more rooted in themselves.

Shaped around your needs

One-to-one sessions allow the SOMA Breath practice to be completely shaped around you. Some sessions feel practical and grounding, supporting stress, burnout and emotional regulation. Others feel more expansive, intuitive or spiritual—offering space to reconnect with yourself, your creativity or something deeper within.

I often work with women who feel overloaded, stuck or depleted from constantly giving to others. Sessions can be tailored to support:

Emotional overwhelm and chronic stress

  • Burnout and nervous system dysregulation

  • Menopause and hormonal transitions

  • Relationship challenges and life changes

  • Low energy, disconnection or difficulty resting

You may come with something specific you want support with, or simply a longing to breathe, rest and reconnect. Both are welcome.

The gentle power of SOMA Breath

In a one-to-one setting, SOMA Breath can be carefully paced and adapted to your body, capacity and emotional landscape. The benefits often include:

  • A calmer, more regulated nervous system

  • Greater emotional resilience and stability

  • Increased energy, clarity and focus

  • Improved rest and sleep

  • A deeper connection to your body and intuition

  • A sense of spaciousness, grounding and inner steadiness

For some, sessions feel deeply nurturing and practical. For others, they open a more subtle, magical or visionary inner space. There is no right way to experience the work.

Trauma-informed, embodied and held with care

I am a trauma-informed practitioner and hold each session with sensitivity, choice and respect for your nervous system. I bring a wide range of life and professional experience, including working with people affected by hardship, substance use, domestic abuse, parenting challenges and long-term stress. This allows sessions to be held with depth, compassion and steadiness.

Each session begins with gentle movement to awaken the body and support a sense of safety before moving into breathwork. As a trained yoga teacher, I adapt all physical elements to suit your body, mobility and energy levels. Nothing is forced—you are always in control.

Where sessions take place

One-to-one sessions can take place:

In your own home

In the shepherd’s hut in Honeystreet

Or in a studio space near you, if that feels easier

We will always choose what feels most supportive and accessible for you

A space to return to yourself

You do not need to be “broken” to come to a session. You may be navigating burnout, transition or challenge—or simply feel the call to create space, calm and clarity in your life. Whether you are seeking regulation, rest or something more expansive, sessions are shaped around you.

At Wyldroots, I believe nothing is impossible. With breath, presence and the right support, we can gently create the conditions for change, connection and renewal.

Wyld Roots – Evidence-Based Breathwork

The Science Behind Breathwork

Breath is one of the few body functions we can control consciously — and that makes it a powerful tool for regulating our nervous system, emotions, and energy.

How Breathwork Affects the Body

  1. Regulates the Nervous System

    • The autonomic nervous system controls how our body responds to stress. Breathwork helps shift from the “fight or flight” mode (sympathetic nervous system) into “rest and digest” mode (parasympathetic nervous system).

    • This results in slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, and reduced stress hormone levels, helping you feel calmer and more focused.

  2. Increases Oxygen and Energy

    • Deep, rhythmic breathing delivers more oxygen to the blood and brain.

    • More oxygen means more energy, better concentration, and clearer thinking.

  3. Supports Emotional Regulation

    • Breathwork encourages awareness of your body and emotions.

    • By noticing tension, stress, or emotional patterns while breathing, you can interrupt automatic stress reactions and respond more calmly.

  4. Boosts Brain Function & Mental Clarity

    • Research, including recent studies on SOMA Breath from Cambridge University, shows breathwork can increase neural complexity — meaning your brain is more flexible, creative, and capable of insight.

    • Participants often report feeling clearer, lighter, and more positive after sessions.

  5. Reduces Anxiety and Stress

    • Studies show that structured breathwork can reduce symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression, sometimes after just a few sessions.

    • It also improves resilience, helping you handle everyday pressures without feeling overwhelmed.

  6. Supports Physical Health

    • Regular breathwork may help improve sleep, digestion, and immune function.

    • It also encourages gentle movement and chest opening, which can relieve tension and improve posture.

Why Breathwork Works

  • You control your breath → you influence your body and mind

  • Breathing patterns affect stress hormones, heart rate, and brain function

  • Consistent practice trains your nervous system to stay calmer and more resilient

In short: breathwork gives you a tool you can use anytime, anywhere, to manage stress, boost energy, and feel more in control of your emotions and wellbeing.
